This 1997 Acura Integra Type R is #135 of 320 examples built for the US market for the model year, and it was purchased by the current owner in 1997 and shows 112k miles following registration history in California. Finished in Championship White over black cloth and suede, the car is powered by a 1.8-liter B18C5 inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, white 15? seven-spoke alloy wheels, a rear wing, a JVC stereo, and power windows and locks. Work completed since 2024 has included replacing the tires, timing belt, water pump, drive belts, valve cover gasket, and engine mounts. This Integra Type R is now offered by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, on consignment with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.
All US-market 1997 Type R models were finished in Championship White (NH-0) and featured a front lip spoiler, a raised rear wing, a rear window wiper, Type R graphics, and red Acura badging. The power antenna has been removed, and the front bumper cover was repainted in 2010.
This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in October 2025 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.
White 15? seven-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with Falken Azenis tires that were mounted in 2024. The Type R received larger-diameter disc brakes at each corner as well as a lower ride height when compared with the standard Integra, and Bilstein dampers are fitted along with urethane bushings. The seller notes that the suspension was serviced in 2024.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in black microsuede and cloth with red accent stitching and are complemented by a color-matching center console, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a JVC stereo, a digital clock, and power windows and locks. There is a stain on the cargo area carpet.
A plaque on the center armrest identifies this Type R as #135 built for the model year.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 112k miles, approximately 110k of which were added under current ownership.
The 1.8-liter B18C5 DOHC inline-four features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 195 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt, water pump, drive belts, valve cover gasket, and engine mounts were replaced in July 2024. The car most recently passed a California smog test in October 2025.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The clutch was replaced in 2019.
